Taller de Animación 3D para niños

"3D Animation for Kids" is a chance for children from 7 to 13 years old to learn to make 3D content inside the computer.

Feature films such as Shrek, Ratatouille, The Incredibles, Toy Story, Madagascar, Finding Nemo or Monsters inc., like many tv series such as Backyardigans, Pocoyo or Jimmy Neutron, use this technics which are available for children by the first time who are extremely motivated for this, because allows them creating their own 3D content.

To make it possible, is necessary using complex computer softwares; for this reason, we have developed a guidance according to the different ages of the children, taking care about their evolutive process.

Courses are going to be given in three steps:

Tree dimensional modeling (similar to clay modeling, but inside the computer. Allows to create any 3D shapes to the children).
Lights and textures (allows to create textures, colors and lights to the 3D models; it's like a 3D painting inside the computer)
Animation (allows to give movement to the 3D models, is the process to become models into alive characters).

Each step will be tought in three classes (4 hours each), and it will be driven to allow children to make their own 3D character. It helps to develop creativity and also a technical thought.

Using CG tools (Computer Graphics tools) helps to work parallel and harmonically the two brain hemispheres, because children develop their creative thought (working with colors and shapes) and also develop their technical thought (working with 3D coordinates and numbers arranged). But they do it having fun, for this reason, it is a chance to develop an integral education whatever their careers are going to be.

We are a group of professionals in 3D production and education. Actually, we are producing two tv series and a short film. We have more than ten years of educational experience with the software Autodesk Maya. Our team, also includes two specialists on initial education.

This technology, which is used by many big companies like Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks; such as in many little companies around the world; will be tought in theorical and practical classes, so we invite you to take place into this initiative that is unique and innovative.
